Project Background

A frozen food manufacturer in China wanted to automate the case packing process on its existing production line. The customer asked us to design and install an automatic case packing system within the limited space available on the line, while ensuring the new equipment could fit smoothly into the current packaging workflow.

Our Solution & Technology

Our engineers visited the food plant to study the production process and measure the space available at the case packing station. To make the most of the limited line space, we designed the robot to be installed directly above the conveyor, which helped reduce the system footprint.

The case packing robot used a vacuum gripper and a vision sensor to automatically identify different SKUs and match the required packing quantity for each product. The system also supported product traceability for better process control.

We also left an API interface open for future ERP integration, so the equipment could be connected more easily with the customer’s management system as production needs evolve.

Project Results

After deployment, our team followed the system through one month of trial production to make sure it ran smoothly in daily operation. The case packing system could accurately identify different SKUs and pack products according to the case specifications preset by the operator on the control panel, helping improve packing consistency and reduce manual workload.
